I'm getting a constant warning horn and the rpms won't go above 3000. I have good water pressure. I'm getting oil up to the small reservoir on the motor. Dose anyone know what could be causing this problem?
Thanks, Troy

Re: 2007 150 optimax problem
I had the same problem on an 2002 225 opti. turns out the float in the oil bag on the motor can become "waterlogged", or unable to float. this tells the sending unit the reservoir is empty, although it is full. I replaced the reservoir, problem solved.

I would post this on bass boat central in the mercury forum. Don Weed should be able to help you. You need to include your serial number in the first post. Good Luck.

A friend of mine has been trying to get a similar problem with his Opti figured out for quite a while. Please update if you determine the cause.

Have a factory authorized Merc. mechanic check it out.
