Are they going to allow parking on the ramp, like at Castaic?
Otherwise, they better budget for a shuttle rail line, or an onsite cardiac unit.

They probably decided to extend yet again after losing a lot of fisherman revenue in the past month. If they set up a shuttle to the top, I'm sure they'll charge for the ride. I'll gladly pay it though!
Fishing is not a matter of life or death.
It's more serious than that!

Good Gawd. 1/2 million dollars for a ramp extension (250' L x 70' W)? Just the paperwork and documentation fees alone could feed a few families for the year. No wonder they won't build out permanent facilities, it would cost well over $8 Ga-zillion dollars.

Tom at the shack said they have had the cement slabs for the extension in the back of the facility for a long time. The marina run up the hill will put hair on your chest. I do it all the time. :D

Who knows the motivation of the MWD. The late bass fishing attorney Pat Marley always said MWD's charter to build the DVL dam/reservoir included a mandate for recreation, but the water broker always hung its hat on the mantra: "We only do water." That they didn't have an all-level launch ramp when they built the dam tells you how much they actually care about recreation. But right now, we need the lake open.
