I need lots of information before I can help you. It depends on what unit are you using the LSS-2 on? If you are using it on a Gen 3 Touch unit, then it plugs into the back of the unit and is powered through the unit. If you have a Gen 2 Key Pad unit, then the transducer gets its power through the black box that the transducer plugs into and then an Ethernet cable connects the Gen 2 Key Pad unit to the black box. The black box has its own power cable that needs to be connected to power and ground to get power to the LSS-2 transducer or it won't work.

The LSS-2. Structure Scan transducer needs to be working to be recognized by the unit. The unit should automatically recognize the Structure Scan transducer. If you are looking in the "transducer type" on the sonar menu, this is only for choosing the Broadband (traditional) Sonar transducer because there are multiple transducer that can give you a sonar signal so you need to choose the model number of the transducer that is plugged into the back of the unit.

Explain you system further so I can help you.

Thanks.

Gen2 Touch unit, I have generic 83/200 chosen for transducer. Should I choose something different?

So if my structure scan is working there is no need to choose LSS anywhere on the unit?

There is not a choice for a Structure Scan transducer, there is only one transducer type for Structure Scan.

For your Broadband Sonar, look at the plug end of your transducer where it plugs into the back of the head unit. Find the chrome tag on the cable. On this tag you will find the model number of that transducer you are using. Find that model number on the list where you found your generic model number, choose that model number and save your changes.
