I am working on an article for Westernbass.com and I have to say that this technology that allows me to connect my iPad, iPhone, Navionics app, and my Lowrance HDS 12 is simply AMAZING.

That is awesome! Does it only work with the 12?

That is an HDS 12 hooked up to an iPad and iPhone. If you have an order version gen2 you need the wireless box go free. The gen3 come with built in wifi.
