Fishing Oroville Lake 2/22/16

Post by Tom Gronwall »

Woke up feeling like crap, but decided to go fishing anyway, thinking I'll feel better, but didn't. Cool morning, 38* when I left Magalia. Cold and not feeling good don't make for good fishing. I just fished the basic lime Saddle area, not feeling like going to N. Fork. Only got 3 fish, calling it a day at 9:45 am, headed to the dock. All fish on tubes, watermelon. Last rain made for a 2 foot jump in level then settled back to about a foot a day rise. Lots of wood, so be careful. Wishing spring would arrive. this was the best fish of the two, just shy of 14".
