I have diagrammed what I have installed and what is left in the image below on my NMEA 2000 setup. Originally I have only 1 HDS 7 Gen 2 touch on the console but recently acquired another unit. I now want to network the two to share waypoints and gps. So I wired a 18 GA 2 stranded wire (non-marine spec) from the console to the bow so both unit power from the same master switch and both units now have power. I currently have the point 1, console unit and backbone power wire hooked up. The only thing I'm waiting on is an extra T connector which I should get tomorrow to complete the set up.
BTW, I currently I do not want to share sonar at the moment so there is no Ethernet cable. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I have been doing a lot of reading and this is what I understood. Let me know your thoughts.
Correct setup of NMEA 2000 for 2 HDS 7 Gen 2 touch?
