22 plus tops WON BASS "Casitas Nights" 8/6

Post by Rich Tauber »

And the records keep falling at Lake Casitas in Ventura California. Crazy good fishing and the largest turnout in our six year history set the stage as Pat Winningham and his partner Kerry Klein picked up a DD 22 crankbait and caught 22 pounds in short order. They caught the majority of their monster bag before the sun even dropped and captured victory and $2,010.00 in cash and beautiful trophies and marched their way up the WON BASS "Casitas Nights" Angler of the Year standings. Not to be outdone current leaders in the AOY race Martin Brian and Ray Rodrigues calmly dropped a 19.97 pound bag of bass on the scales for 2nd place and collected a whopping $2,005.00 in cash for their six hours of work. Two of the best in the business Travis Walters and Brandon LaMay knocked down a 18.95 pound bag collecting $780.00 in cash for their third-place finish. Vince DiPalma and Joey Boudin put together a 18.43 pound bag of bass to collect fourth place and $210.00 in cash. Rounding out the money list in fifth place was Casitas "All Pro" Brian Evans with his partner Scott Landsverk with a 18.34 pound limit to collect $200.00 in cash. The 5th event on the 2016 WON BASS "Casitas Nights" tour is Saturday August 20, 2016. Entry fee is $200 per team. Big fish option (optional) is $40 per team.
