Take your whip crème for the chocolate milk out there and be careful of the widow makers.

They are referring to large logs or stumps that are suspended just under the surface, when you hit them it is all bad, hence the term "Widow maker", typically this time of year and especially this year with the huge flushing rains everything flowing down the rivers ends up in the delta. It is sketchy for boating but the silver lining is when these things eventually settle out they make great habitat for bass! Be careful out there and always wear you pfd's and kill switches!

ABA out there sat with 17 boats and total of 15 fish weigh in so that should give you an idea how tough it is. Friend had two fish and came in 3rd with 5.63#. Temp 48-50. Drive careful as I hit 3 logs which was under water. Good thing I was just on plane running at 3000 rpm. Water flat calm and log submerge. Wear your pfd and kill switch on.

Yes to all others info... tough, cold water, debris and overall muddy water.

I was out last Sunday for a few hours just to get out.. even after seeing the ABA weights I decided to go...

Water temp 48.9-51.2
Launched at Paradise and went down Bishop.. water color was actually better than I expected.. more tea colored and not muddy. Still not much visibility. The water color was actually much better and seemed to be close to standard Delta color when I went East of the ramp down what some call Bear Creek I think. The cut leading towards I-5 had good color as well... Terrible bite for sure... Go to Berryessa.. : )

Good Luck,
