Effect Of Dam Failure
Effect Of Dam Failure
What I'm wondering about the Oroville dam and spillway failure is it's effect on down stream fisheries. Apparently the lake is overpopulated with spotted bass, and what's going to happen if tens of thousands of them end up in the Delta....probably not a good thing. Pine Flat had it's 10 to 15 year period of record fish before it became over populated, then Oroville took it's 10 to 15 years of producing trophy spots, before it became a 1 to 1.5 lb. haven. Now Bullards Bar is taking it's turn to produce record fish, and I'd bet in a few years it will be like the others. So is the Delta next in line??
There She Is!!!
Re: Effect Of Dam Failure
There's already a bunch in parts of the N. Delta. Hopefully they stay there. I'm no biologist, but I'm guessing if the Central Delta was conducive to survival of spots, theyd already be there.
