Delta closure

Post by mark poulson »

Who will make the decision to close the Delta to boating?
How can we find out what's going on?

My guess would be the Coast Guard...that should be a good place to start asking, anyway

Interesting to see if some tournaments will be postponed. Seems like the risk factor is at a high level with cresting levees, wakes and logs.

Thanks. I can't imagine any Delta boaters would want to chance these conditions on plane. Too much debris, and the wakes would cause too much damage.

I'm surprised by some of the pictures I've seen how high the water is, that that haven't closed it or put a 5mph restriction. I can't imagine what one of those cruisers that throw a 3 foot wake would do.
