Seat pedestal question

Last time out the collar at the base of one of my seat pedestals came off....now the pole wobbles some. It looks bent as well (got to find a smaller team partner!) and kinda rusty. I was just gonna replace it but I heard of a new scissors type folding seat base that might be slick. Any feedback on this or any other reccomendations? the base is a standard threaded type. Also, where can I find the scissor base?
