Hey everyone,
I was out on the delta this past Saturday and struggled big time. I fish franks, white and disappointment slough areas. I feel I threw the kitchen sink at them and all I got was 4 dinks. I'm missing some piece of the puzzle after I saw what it took to win the tourney on the same day. Any advice would be appreciated

They make money winning tournaments, so I doubt they'll share.
I'm no stick, but this is what I've found.
I've gotten square bill Delta Craw crank fish in front of the tulles bordering big grass flats on high tide, and 6" senko fish there, too. Also on the levee rock, fishing the inside grass line at higher tide.
When the tide drops, I've gotten senko fish in front of the primrose mats on shallow flats, because the primrose have such deep roots that the fish are forced out when the tide drops. They have been in the grass outside the mats, looking at the edge of the mats for prey.
I hope this helps.
