Although Lake Camanche is not quite at full pool, the water levels - that now stand higher than they have been in years, have created a bonanza of quality bass that required anglers fishing the 3rd event of the Coors Light FPT’s central valley region, to have nearly 16 pounds - for five, just to get into the top twenty!

Nevada Bretz and Joey Verna, fresh off a 2nd place finish in the prior FPT event at Lake Don Pedro, absolutely crushed the 72 boat field as they brought a 25-Plus five-fish limit to the scales - which also included a 10.54 pound kicker, to capture their first FPT win.

Nevada indicated that their big fish came no less than one hour after blast-off, and by 8pm they had over 20 pounds in the boat. Nevada also indicated that a bit of luck was in play as the big fish caught on a Keitch bait came off the hook, but swam right into the timely placed net provided by partner Joey.

For their victory, they received to custom plaques, and $2,787 in cash winnings. Congratulations guys on a great victory!
