What a good video. So awesome to see American made products thrive in this market.

I know. I crank mostly and seldom throw plastics, but I still have 40-50 bags of his baits.

I started bass fishing in 1984. Used to buy 4 inch curl tail worms made by Twin T's. They came in a little French fry cardboard tray. Remember going into a tackle shop to buy some and the lady says ... 'Gary has those now' I said 'Oh'. Thought to myself ... Who's Gary?'
Have some fun out there .... Enjoy that time on the water !!

Here is the original bag of twin t's . Gary added a skirt to the twin tail grub and the rest is history.

My begining with Gary Yamamoto

Post by Larry Hemphill »

I guess I should add some history to Gary's remarkable career. I, too, was with the Twin T's company before Gary bought it. They sponsored me - my 3rd sponsor! Very exciting!! Then Gary bought the company and was immediately busy keeping up the demand for his baits from southern California anglers. I was the first Nor Cal angler he sent baits to. I had the first "salt and pepper" grubs in Nor Cal. Remember those - the hottest bait alive in the mid 80's!!!! He made me promise not to show or tell anyone else since he could not keep up with the demand from Southern Cal. I kept my promise - mostly! I did give a few to one of my friends that most of you know. He tried them at Clear Lake and called me at 10:30 at night - so excited he couldn't talk straight! Told me I could have anything I want - just name it!! Fun - and true - story!! The Yamamoto company has helped make our sport what it is today! Thank you Gary Yamamoto for giving so much of your talent to us!!!

I think your friend is the one who gave me that bag about 10 years ago Larry
