Mark is right. The Veritas is a nice stick for $99. I throw the 8XD and 10XD on the 7'11" Extra Heavy Crank Series (think it's called the Wench series.) Handles the 10XD no problem. I really wanted the Power 10XD Rod but $300 was a bit steep. $99...I can abuse it and not have to worry. Good stick!!

Daiwa and Tackle Warehouse teamed up and made a great glass reaction rod. Rod exclusively only sold at Tackle Warehouse. Great big crank rod and I also use mine for tossing buzz baits. $149 bucks too! Check out the link...

This one's out of your budget, but I'd recommend the Falcon Lowrider XD Cranker. Simply made for those big cranks. I was fortunate to get one when TW was blowing out the previous gen models for $99 a couple of years ago. Just bought it sight unseen (which I usually don't for something like that), but I don't regret it one bit. Love this rod. A pro I know was even impressed with it when I showed him, and was interested in getting one himself. Maybe wait until one of the next big holiday sales to get one.

I've been using the Abu Ike 7'10" MH Delay series with a Shimano Tranx and it works really well.
