Summer in the PNW

Post by ttb31183 »

This summer has been pretty tough for me fishing wise. I have been catching tons of fish, but the bigger ones have been really hard to come by. One angler who has been catching some nice fish is a young angler who lives down the street from me, Noah Whitten.

He has been hitting the Spokane-area lakes like Silver, Newman and Liberty and catching some big ones on a variety of different techniques.

One thing that stands out is his use of the spybaiting technique. It is not really new but is really gaining some popularity after KVD's win on the technique. Here are a few he caught with the spybait and drop-shot on Liberty Lake.

Traditional techniques like football heads are still catching them and he has been using them on Silver Lake, a place with some great offshore fishing on the humps and rocks that are in several places on the lake.
