I was wondering how realistic or how helpful it is to scuba dive or us and Aqua Vu during pre-fish periods to gain a better understanding underneath the surface.
Any thoughts or just a waste of time and money?
Aqua Vu, Scuba during Prefish
Some orgs do not allow one or both...
BASS/ESPN’s rule:
During the official practice and during the tournament, a competitor may not "SKIN DIVE" OR "SCUBA DIVE" in the tournament waters.
WON BASS rule:
No scuba diving or snorkeling by contestants will be permitted for 30 days prior to or on the practice rounds of any competition day. Underwater viewing systems will be allowed during all practice periods. They will not be allowed in the boats for usage during tournament hours.
FLW does not have a rule governing this.

It is sure a lot more work to dive than to just idle around with a camera in the water!!!!!!!
