Why wouldn't you be able to?
Fear does not prevent death, it prevents life.

You've never lived until you've almost died and for those who have fought for it, life has a whole new flavor that the protected will never know....

Is there a large population of stripers in there? Last time I tried to fish it the weeds were really thick, so I could only really fish it on high tide.

I would be very careful going into there on the weekends right now, because it is water fowl season, and there are duck blinds and hunters inside.

GOOD CALL - lil mandy this time of year is asking to be met with scatter shot. With that being said I havent had issues getting through the South East or West openings, hell it seems the east and south opening has gotten bigger \ more undercut.

I'm guessing it's a combination of the really high water from the Oroville flooding, and all the herbicide spraying, which kills the plants that anchor some of the rip rap.

i also noticed a large die off of the Poplar trees along the East side of lil mandy - these trees are natures riparian holders. with the trees dieing off, i imagine the roots are no longer strongly holding the rip rap together.

I think that, at some point, the CA State Dept. of Parks and Recreation, which sprays herbicides as part of it's Aquatic Invasive Species Program, will realize that they are endangering all the islands surrounded by levees, but, by then, it may be too late.
