Just wondering what is taking so long for WWBT to update their schedule for 2018 especially with the first event only a month away???

From WWBT Jeremy DeHart

We found out there was a glitch in sending out the WWBT Angler Input Questionaire. We would like to make sure that we can review those prior to posting the final rules for the 2018 season.

Because of this, the WWBT info on the website update will be delayed one week.

Thanks

NOTE: Angler surveys were sent out to be returned by 10/20. WWBT needs a few days to review the input, so 2018 rules will be posted by 10/24.

From Jeremy DeHart WWBT

Due to the overwhelming response to angler surveys that came in on Friday, October 20, WWBT needs a few extra days to review and discuss the rules and/or changes for 2018. Rules will be posted on November 1.

We apologize for the delay; however it is necessary to give adequate consideration to the angler input.

Thank you for your patience.

That's all fine and dandy but it is not cool that they posted a 2018 schedule without having everything in order. They have now canceled two team events on the Arizona team trail. My partner and I went out of our way to get vacation time for both of those events. We really wanted to support WWBT this year but this has left a bad taste in our mouth for the season. Very unprofessional

Thank You Wild West for keeping us up to date on the processes you have to go through to make a great tournament circuit. I think anything over 1 month in advance is great. And putting of the rules for 2018 until they are finalized is great so we don't get other tools complaining about minor changes. Don't forget about the anchor rule for 2018 to include PowerPole/Talon Anchors since people complained about actually having a rope and anchor in the water as well as the Talons/PowerPoles??? Keep up the good work and thank you for bringing a High Quality/High PayBack circuit out West...

Thank you Jason and Jeremy for your updates and comments.

All of the WWBT team truly appreciate you WWBT anglers. The two-year genesis of this organization has been a complete blast - pure fun, craziness, education and a total joy to get to know you fishermen. I spend most of my work week fighting with regulators and legislators over healthcare law and then fighting with insurance companies over employer policies. It is contentions and pressure filled. To get to spend a few weekends a year commentating on pro-am events and fishing in team events is just nothing short of phenomenal.

I wish I could name all of the anglers and new friends I've made in this process but I'd be horrified to leave anyone out. I've seen the massive, massive amount of work that Angie, Gary, Matt, Jeremy and Jason put in and it is nothing short of daunting. But I can tell you anglers that love of the game and a genuine affinity for the truly great men and women that permeate our sport are what keep it going strong.

We want to thank you again, the fishermen, supporters, ambassadors of the sport, consummate pros and dedicated cos, smiling faces, positive attitudes, the guys who wake up and realize ... "I get to fish all day and might even win money for doing so in the greatest, freest, most amazing country ever devised on our planet ... I won the lottery!" I've been overwhelmed at how many of you there are in bass fishing and the WWBT. Keep fishing, keep laughing, keep on loving and supporting the sport. The WWBT has made mistakes and it will make more - that is a given for all organizations. But the WWBT will keep working hard to make things better for its anglers and sponsors. We hear you and want to provide you with the best possible platform for your fishing endeavors.
