Life Vest

Post by richdoe »

I want to buy a life vest for my son for Xmas and am looking at BassPro's XPS brand for $60. Any other recommendations? He doesn't want the Mustang type.

I have the Bass Pro XPS Platinum vest. For $10 more than the XPS Deluxe, you get a lot more features, like more pockets, zip-off collar, crotch straps, etc.

Honestly if you are not interested in an auto inflat then Sterns has always been a stand up product for me. I have one in the boat for backup and my son is on his second. Amazon sales them as well so you can shop for the style you want. Sterns has been around for a long time and i believe OEM most of the "brands" life vests.

This is the one I like. It's got pockets for gear and separate handwarming pockets.
