Hook 7 help?

I have had this unit for about a year now. When I first got it it seemed to take a long time finding the bottom when first booting up. It seems like it is getting worse. It consistently loses the bottom and takes forever to find the bottom after turning the unit on or taking it out of stanby. Is it he unit or the ducer? Thanks
