When you switch 2 stroke oil types ?

Post by Rod Martin »

Can you mix. Or should you wait till you're very low to add a different oil ? Say semi - synthetic moving to synthetic ?

Thanks

I switched from a straight synthetic to a semi with no problems. I refilled my oil reservoir when it was half full. The color went from a blue to a green, but no noticeable difference, other than going from $35/gallon to $25 a gallon.

Regardless of what brand you are changing to, you can run it down a bit, but some oils are direct pour on the exchange.

Mark is correct, not that big of deal, pour away and run it.

Thanks for the comeback.

I have gone 100% Lucas . I don't know why I haven't done this before. I used Lucas oil additive for years in our trucks.
