Fishing Oroville Lake 01/15/2018
Actually not fishing, but wanting to so bad. Since Dec. along with the darn winds, cold temps, slow bite, have not had a chance to get on the lake like I normally do. This old man hates those winds, combine with the low temps, not feeling like being macho and fish the lake when it's so nasty out most of the time. I've been hoping water would come up enough so I don't have to drive an hour to Bidwell to catch just a few fish during the winter bite. Lime Saddle is just 22 minutes away, so close and no hassle to go fishing. Good news, is the lake is now 705.87 feet, bottom of the Lime Saddle ramp at 702 feet. Just another 5-6 feet and the ramp should be open and I'll be back to fishing every week like I used to do. Come on Rain, pour and open Lime Saddle!!

I appreciate your posts. I love Oroville and have had amazing days on that lake. It is great to see your posts. Thank you as most will not post fearing they will give away the farm. Much appreciated and get out when you can.

I've been trying to get on the lake again, between rains, but not good timing lately. Lake level 707. something, getting super close to having Lime saddle open, 5 foot about the bottom of the ramp. Expecting rains next week, maybe one day possible to fish, if not the week after if all goes well.
