What gloves to choose?
I was recommended this article https://under-the-open-sky.com/best-hunting-gloves/. Tell me which ones are more suitable for winter fishing?
Re: What gloves to choose?
Dont laugh at me, well ok why not everybody does.
I use ski gloves while underway and for fishing i wear nitrile gloves with finger less wool gloves. KB shared this with me years ago and it works wonders. The Nitrile gloves keeps the water off your skin and the breeze from biting at your digits while the wool fingerless gloves keep your hands nice and toasty. The primary benefit is I have damn near full tactile function with my baitcaster, knots and hooks dont get all hung up on em.

I do the same, plus I use Hot Hands pocket warmers, tucked into the palms of the nitrile gloves.ash wrote:Dont laugh at me, well ok why not everybody does.

The nitrile gloves keep the hand warmers, like Hot Hands, dry if you have to handle wet fish, or if it rains.
I do, however, make it a point to clean out wool fibers from my line guides and spools every once in a while.
