The weather is just starting to stabilize here in the Inland Northwest. After a cold spring, it is finally getting nice and the bass are starting to bite. I made it out yesterday and found tough fishing for numbers but they were all quality fish. This is about the time every year when I realize we put up with the cold during winter. The water temps are still in the high-40's but with the extended forecast calling for sun and high temps close to 70, the fishing is going to get insanely good soon.
The standard spring stuff were the best producers. Jigs, vibrating jigs and red crankbaits like this one.
The fish were holding around wood, docks and rocks...again no big surprise for fishing around here during the spring. The biggest of the day was just over 5lbs but we had a few other chunky fish to go with. So this is my biggest of the year so far. Hope to beat it many times.
