Areas to put in on the delta

Post by Garrett Clark »

I recently purchased a 10ft kayak and I'm trying to get a list of places where it's possible to launch (beyond all the marinas). Not asking for anyone's secret spots, but any info would be appreciated; thanks.

There are lots of private docks that will work.
Find the owner, and ask their permission.

If your not afraid to scratch your kayak, anywhere you can drive on the levee and park your car. You'll just have to drag or carry your kayak down to the water.

This is a great resource for all the launches on the delta provided by MKA.

@Garrett - i'm about to pull trigger on a kayak myself and fish delta. Wondering how did your research go? I would be in the same situation hopefully soon.
