For all that knew Butch.................

Post by Hardshell »

it is with a heavy heart that I have to report that Butch passed away this afternoon after a short bout with liver cancer. He lived long, 14 years and 6 months. Even though he was just a dog, he was as much a "Nutcase" as any of us in here. He was at the very first "Nut Case Classic" that cold December day we all put in at Orowood. He went to several rallys @ Clear Lake and even stared his own edition of Western Bass TV on Don Pedro. He was my idenity for many years as most people who saw us on the water instantly recognized Butch and me, his side kick. I will remember him always.

For the last time,
Steve & Butch - out

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Our pet companions can grow as much a part of our families as our kids. In your case, Butch was, as you say, a big part of you identity. I'm sure you have lots of wonderful memories of the times you two spent together in and out of the boat. Enjoy them.

My condolances.

Steve that little rascle Butch will always be remembered by me since I bought his boat!!! man I do not think he wanted that silver bullet to leave the yard!! or at Orwood that one Cold foggy morning when he wanted to jump in the bullet as I parked it at a nutcase

We put down Angus (Family Pet) Two years ago this month after twelve years it's tough my freind hang in there!!

You are right, he is one of the few animals that I would honored to call a fellow Nutcase. We will all miss him at the Rally this year.

Sorry about your buddy. I know I just got a new buddy last year Roxy the boxer and she is a sweet hart. I would and will feel bad when she goes. These dogs we get sometimes are just like having another addition to the family and hurts to see them go.

Steve;

We haven't met, but I understand perfectly what you're feeling. I had to put my buddy Cinder down on the last day of last month.

It's unbelievable how attached we can become to our pets (friends). It's been 25 days since Cinder passed and I still can't look at a picture of her without choking up.

All we have left are memories....but they're good memories!

Best of luck to you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Butch was a great
companion that we will all miss. May you find comfort
in the memories of such a wonderful time together as
you both had.

Steve. I know how you feel, like others that have posted, I too lost one of my female labs, after 14 years, last Oct. she is still missed, but you will, like me, have many good memories of times out and about on the water and anywhere we went. Feeling for you loss. Bill K

My Empathy to You

Butch was indeed a NutCase in the truest sense.
My condolences to you Steve. I know what you're going through.
I had to put down my 'buddy' this spring after 10 years together.

Finally tune into Western Bass again to check on the old gang and we find out this sad news..

Steve and Vicki,

Kathy and myself feel for you two. It is a hard thing to loose a pet after many years of frienddship. You guys are pet lovers and have many buddies running around the ranch, enjoy them all as we know you do!

I know Butch was special to Steve as that little guy went everywhere with him. I had spent many a hour in Steves boat with Butch gaurding the live well and helping us fish. When you put a fish in the well it WAS HIS ! He was a very cool dog!

Have not seen them in a while.. but we will always think of Butch

Sorry to hear about Butch, Steve.

After a few years I got a new one. Bert, 100 lbs of chocolate lab. Should have callled him Spook. Wants to jump in the fishing hole all the time.

See you at the rally...
