Dang! So the one piece vertical striped denim zippered jumpsuits are a thing of the past? Please don't tell me that the sweet pimped out seats on top of the rod lockers are gone also? Arm rests on the front deack seat? How about the ole' Sparkletts caps on the hup caps to help keep da wahder out?

Dixon is rental boats (13ft w/ trolling motors only). Marc, undersand one thing, NONE of our fisheries can compare with your backyard (Columbia River). You will definitely learn new techniques and you'll have to SLOW down A LOT. As far as organizations go, National Bass West, WON Bass, The Fed, ABA ...

Most definitely for that size jig, try the 734. It's a perfect match and as has already been said, probably one of the MOST versatile rods by anyone out there!

Re: Bass Fishing in Lake Henshaw?

Hey Marc, Henshaw is really a Crappie and Carp fest lake. Not great bass fishing. Of course, there might be those few times where it's ON! But, it's really out there away from most areas. The lakes that produce the best in SD county are El Cap, Hodges & Otay. There are some GREAT smaller lakes (...

Re: About How Long is the Reel Life of Fluro??

All comes down to the brand. Berkley Vanish, re-spool after every trip. Sunline, when your spool is low on line! Yeah, there's a huge difference. Who would've thought that Vanish actually costs more than Sunline? LOL.

Re: Winning lure of the HBC-2 at Clear Lake?

It will all depend on the water clarity. If it stays clear like it is now, a topwater (Punker or Spook) will win it. If it stains up a little, I'll go with flipping a jig or a beaver. Big fish will be right around 9lbs.

Re: Anybody use Braided line on a spinning reel?

It has been my experience that whenever using a baitcaster for Dropshot, you had better have nothing less than 7lb test on it due to the lack of a smooth start up of the drag system on baitcasters (that includes the aftermarket Carbontex drags as well). If you're using a light line (say 5lb or 4.5lb...

This is really not a bad thing at all. If you read the entire article you will see that your boat is inspected and if deemed clean of the Quagga, you will receive a sticker that is good for the rest of 2008. If your boat doesn't pass the initial inspection you will need to go to one a few of the &qu...

The Ultimate Casting Football jigs heads are designed to better go through the rocks and have a standard straight shank hook, while the Pro Series football heads are more of an all-around design with a flat-eye line tie and make use of the Gamakatsu EWG hook which I believe to be the best jig hook m...
