Key word is "high speed", Mustang and other mfr's make high speed PFD's for boats up to 100 mph.
The Suspenders types are OK if you fall overboard while going less than 10 mph. At 50+ mph water is very dense, the impact feels like hitting concrete and can cause severe injuries.

Unfortunately to establish a world record it must be validated by an official biologist, catch and release bass don't fit into that category very often.

Mark, the prop 13 was a great benefit to the baby boomers allowed them to keep their homes while the home increased in value without paying high taxes and retire on the investment. Over the counter Costco polarized sunglasses are good, only a few frames to choose from. Dark grey with UV protection for bright sunlight that you have in AZ is what I would recommend.

DVL is an interesting lake with a very deep population of FLMB, good place to a study of this type.
