I have on of the first generation HDS 5 units on my bow that died.
I'd like to replace it with a larger unit, like the Hook 7.
I really don't want to have to try and snake another power cord up from my console.
Can I use the same power cord?

Yes, there's an easy fix and NO you don't need to go to TackleTour to get it. In your factory box there is a pack of little black disks. I think it’s a great idea. You are 100 times more likely to get thrown out of a bass boat then you are of being in one that flips. Even if it flips, they have quick release belts. I don't know. Try asking the Coast Guard. They are usually really helpful with questions.
I just worried that I'd get a ticket, and a DQ from a tournament, so I always have the three conventional vests in the boat. They don't take up much room, and, for me, it was better to be safe than sorry.

I switched from a straight synthetic to a semi with no problems. I refilled my oil reservoir when it was half full. The color went from a blue to a green, but no noticeable difference, other than going from $35/gallon to $25 a gallon.
