I was thinking of using a core 100MG on my swimbait rod for baits up to an 8" Hud. Looking for some feedback on whether the the core is too much of a finesse reel for that much of a load.

Explosion at Folsom Dam?
Ok, probably not an explosion, but....Friday, my wife and I were fishing out near Beals point when we heard a loud crash from the direction of the dam followed by a cloud of white smoke (or possibly just a lot of dust). Did anyone else see this or know what it was?

You might also try tying to the eye on the transom where you attach the trailer strap. It's a very strong point and eliminates the risk of pulling a cleat out if the water is choppy at all or if you have to tow the boat for a long distance.

Need help with battery/aerator issues!
I've been having an issue with my starting battery getting drained everytime I run the aerators on auto (M setting on a Ranger aerator timer). Usually works fine until about halfway through the day, then the starting battery starts to die. I've been able to keep going by jumping the starting battery...

Greg, Bibs, man. I did pants at first. They worked fine as long as the wind didn't blow my jacket up, which happened as soon as we made a run across the lake. Anyway, just my opinion. Besides, I'm so late on this that you've probably already bought something. BTW, are you doing the Bass Wranglers in...
