3 oz Striper Jigs

Anyone hear of a heavy metal jig made by or called a "BearPaw". Striper guide on Mead show me one yesterday. He was jigging and speed reeling them at 50-80 feet. Tried searching on line and the only thing close to what it looked like was a Metal Magic 2.

Re: My 2010 US Open Experience (Short Version)

I drew Mr. Peltier the second day. We figured out the spinnerbait bite about 12:30p. Worked an area near Calville where the wind was blowing across some long slopping point. Fish were sitting on the edges or in the dark spots on top the points. Lost a blade on the trolling motor prop late. Luckily w...

Re: Nice Spinnerbait review on Tackle Tour

Nice job, factual and unbiased. All good baits I'm sure, but I'll stick with MOAB spinnerbaits. Compact, very easy to cast and they run true when burning. Great bait for the Colorado river lakes. No I'm not sponored by MOAB. I've have tried them all and even made my own for years, but for me MOAB is...

Re: Anybody get a 1099 tax statement from your fishing org??

I believe any earnings, win, payout, prize etc, over $600.00 in a tax year from any organization or company is reportable to the IRS. If you receive a 1099 you must report it as part of your gross income. I received several in the mail yesterday for part time work I do for various tackle companies, ...

Re: Looking for Green Pumpkin/Purple flake tube or craw

Ken,
Lake Erie smallmouth guru Joe Balog turned me on to these tubes a few years ago. Awesome on Mead, Mojave and Havasu. Go to
ISGfishing.com and look at the Willy Intimidator and Dream Tubes.

Great Lakes Special, Purple Goby and Green Pumpkin Purple are my go to colors for these lake.

If you ever plan a trip to Lake St Clair get a hold of Joe Balog, Plano pro staffer and smallmouth expert on St Clair and Erie. Re: Perfect Co-Angler bag?

Try the Plano Guide Series or Soft Sider bags. Look at the ones with the molded waterproof base. Plenty of room for 3600 or 3700 series boxes and small enough to fit in any rear compartments. Perfect for co-angler/non-boater.
