Question for WONBASS so cal
Saw on the wonbass website one week ago that the so cal region kicks off its first tournament at lake pyramid on sunday, jan 23. Today I checked the site and the page for so cal teams says that the schedule is being restructured. My question: Does the season still start at pyramid on jan 23, or are ...

Re: Favorite swimbait head
In stained water, the basstrix spintrix head in 1/2 oz in gold. I put 6 in big hammers and just about anything that swims on these jigheads. Sometimes you have to cut the belly of the plastic trailer a little to get the right action on the underspin blade. havent had as much luck in clear water with...

basstrix spintrix trailer question??SUGGESTIONS?
What trailers do you like to throw on the basstrix spintrix jighead? I have had success with the basstrix paddletail trailer made for this bait, but was wondering if there are any other great trailers to put on the back of these jig heads. I am looking for a trailer that isn't going to hamper the ac...

Re: Switching Batteries, a control?
What Jim said will work great. Just wire two 12 volt batteries together in parallel. (pos to pos, neg to neg). Then you don't have to waste time switching to the other battery. Just my .02 cents! Good fishing, Chris c.

I am planning a camping trip to lake lopez from march 25-28. Any info on what the bite is like and current water temp would be greatly appreciated as it is my first time going up there. Also are there any underwater hazards that I should watch out for? Thanks in advance, -Chris c.-

Re: Leader line, uni to uni knot with braid?
Thanks for all the imput guys! I normally break off at the jig end of the knot, and from time to time break off at the uni knot. Usually when it breaks at the uni knot I am hung on a rock or tree. I have bigger problems when I set the hook on a fish and the line snaps at the jig with a palomar knot....

Re: First SMALLIE out of CASTAIC!!
Is it just me or does it seem like there are many more small stripers 8"-15" in Castaic this year? Everyone should step up and keep their limits of striper so the largemouth population can replenish themselves after the very poor spawn Castaic had this year.

pressure treated wood for bunk boards...Good Idea?
I have to replace the bunk boards on my bass boat pretty soon and was wondering if it is a bad idea to use carpeted pressure treated wood for my bunk boards. Does the pressure treated wood cause any weird problems to the gell coat or anything like that? any imput would be greatly appreciated. thanks...
