Re: What is with.....
Unless I'm mistaken, a tournament is the only time you're actually legally allowed to keep live bass in the livewells. I'm sure someone can cite the relevant section in the regulations, but I'll see if I can find it and post if no one beats me to it. Roger If I remember correctly, you can keep live...

Re: shimano clarus warranty
What is the over the counter warranty? Isn't it something like 50 bucks no questions asked? I have a broken Shimano rod I've only had for two weeks I need to get replaced or fixed. Only problem is it's not a defective rod, I just have a defective buddy who freaking stepped on it. Limited Lifetime W...

Re: Clear lake red bud ramp.
Your rig is always at risk parked at any public facility around the lake. The latest incident of theft was at County Park. Broke into Jim Dowdy's truck and stole all of his personal belongings. The police caught the perks at Wal-Mart trying to purchase merchandise up toward $1,000 with his credit ca...

Re: David is right!!
Seems I remember back in the 80's or early 90's rocks between Rattlesnake and the sulpher banks, rocks just west of Rattlesnake and south side of Rattlesnake. lots of dangerous rocks and lots of bass. With the lake so low, can you still get into Cache Creek outlet . You can navigate Cache Creek fro...

Re: Clear Lake Rocks!!!
Clear Lake is 1.13' above Zero Rumsey, so you're looking at 6.5' drop in level from a full lake (7.56').
Fish-n-Map Co. is one of the best maps with depth contours for the lake well illustrated. Good source to have on board when navigating unknown territory.

Re: How do you charge your boat
PLUGGED IN 24/7. AGM BATT'S THAT IS WHAT CHARLIE AT BATT SYSTEMS TOLD ME ANYWAY. Most battery manufacturers do not recommend leaving on-board battery chargers/maintainers on 24/7 due to the simple fact the auto float mode device may malfunction under certain circumstances. If the device malfunction...

Re: How do you charge your boat
Recharge deep cycle batteries immediately after each use. Lead-acid batteries do not develop a memory. Unplug when fully charged. Check each cell and top off, if necessary, with distilled water for lead-acid deep cycle marine trolling, trolling/starting/RV batteries prior to charging. Perform this a...

Thompson Harbor at Redbud Park is maintained by the City of Clearlake's Parks and Recreation Department.
I believe the Lucerne Public Harbor is maintained by the County's Parks and Recreation Department.

Re: Ramps at Clear Lake..
The Lucerne Public launch is another area to be careful while launching.
At least they have signs stating you launch at your own risk when the lake level is down.
You definitely need to hug that seawall as you venture out toward the inlet of the harbor.

Re: Ramps at Clear Lake..
The first ramp to the far left of Thompson Harbor at Redbud Park is actually designated for the loading of water trucks only, but the ramp is sometimes used by boaters when the lake level is higher. There is a gravel shoal < 1 ' below the water roughly 10' down from the ramp at the current lake leve...

Re: Ramps at Clear Lake..
Is the water at CL low enough to affect any of the ramps?? we might try red bud this weekend.. thanks for any help--ez Forget about the ramps on each end at Thompson Harbor in Redbud Park. Check the depth after launching in the middle bays before starting that outboard. Pretty shallow. Some boats m...

Re: WAKE BOAT WARS.......WHERE DOES IT END?????
I've seen rigs parked where two stalls are taken up, but to have your rig vandalized because it is less than a foot within boundary is beyond belief. I've been ridiculed on many occasions because I walk around my rig several times to ensure I've parked within the white stall markings, which is tough...
