When I first started fishing tournaments I met him and he pretty much took me under his wing. Har har... We became great friends and fished a lot of different lakes. We fished some Snag Proofs too. He was a mentor and great friend. Broke my heart when he passed. I talked to the night before he passe...

Cooch's services Today 11/18
First I'd like to say that Cooch's family did a wonderful job with the service. The service was great, food was great and that damn slide show was amazing! That one really got me and broke me. I've been on this forum for over a decade and I have met a ton of people over the years. And I have formed ...

Re: What do non-boaters give boaters after
Before I even get in the boat I say this guy's gonna get 5 bucks. If he runs around all day with no results I put that 5 back in my pocket. If I catch a 2 plus lber I add 3 bucks per. If he's cool I add another 10, if he's a dick I take back 15. So basically he owes me 2 bucks. If he has snacks and ...

Make sure their bouncing off the rocks on the bottom. Drop shot, Trick worms, your favorite plastics in 25 to 40 feet. Go slow.. That should catc...

I agree with everything Mark said! And if you do happen to leave the ruler in the sun it doesn't take a scientist to know its hot when you grab it. Dip that sh@t in the water... Every bed fish I've ever caught has swam free to breed again. Bed fishing does not cause population drops, anglers careles...

This is a great topic. Never had anything happen in the boat but I do believe that this could exist. Nothing wrong with killing that fish. There is no doubt it was at the end of its life, and the benefits of verifying it as a world record and potential benefits to science (assuming the angler and the taxidermist are receptive to the idea) greatly outweigh any marginal benefit of release. I would h...

I can see the argument of "Tournament Bass Fishing" being a sport. Its a competition, there can be teams, and there is a scoring system. (weight/ points) I still think tourney fishing is not a sport. I look at tournament fishing more like gambling. I fish just as hard fun fishing as i woul...

Over time as we use colors in certain situations I believe we gain confidence in them from their results. And as Cooch said this can also be our downfall cause we tend to stick with them even if we are not catching fish. Does color matter? I'm a firm believer that it does. I think low light, sunny, ...

Copolymer. Yozuri Hybrid would be a good one. You can use it for just about any application. Strong stuff too. Others may say to put braid on all of your outfits and add the proper leader for whatever application you need. Mono for topwater, flouro for subsurface. Yozuri Hybrid is some good all aro...
