That appears to be a Do-it shad head mold that has been modified to accept a swivel. Easy modification. I did the same thing to a similar mold that has the wb400 wire keeper instead of the barb and collar that the one in the picture has.

I have a Hook2 9 SplitShot at the console. (GPS,sonar, and DI). I've had it out for two trips and I'm happy with it. Definitely a step up from the regular Hooks or Elite HDIs. The processor is much faster compared to those. If you zoom in the map while cruising the screen changes almost instantly an...

Re: WTB: Powell TW 754 Football Jig Rod

The TW Football jig rod was a 753 and was made to the exact same specs as the 3D model I mentioned. I had a couple and quite frankly, it was a clunker of a rod. Handle was too long and it didn't balance well. To me, it seemed like they cut an inch off a 764 and glued the handle up further. But what ...

One of the Powell 3D rods is made to the exact same specs as that TW rod. It even has the same length handle. TW is currently trying to get rid of them for $99. Just FYI

Re: Accessing Little Franks?

Maybe you're thinking of a different place. It would be poor judgement to run through any openings around Little Frank's. Don't care if someone screws up their boat. It's the fact that those openings have blind spots and people fish those openings. It's also common to see small boats anchored in tho...

Re: Accessing Little Franks?

There's no good reason for anyone to be on pad in Little Frank's. If you need to go to the other side just go around because it's "little". I've seen plenty of people high center their rig on what looks like an opening there. Also, people fish those openings so the last thing anyone should...

I throw a lot of medium divers both on the Delta and Clear Lake. I have a couple rods that I use 20lb braid with a copolymer leader like Yozuri hybrid or McCoy Mean Green. 10-15lb depending on conditions. I generally do this with rods that have a more moderate taper. This would also be my preferred ...
