Re: Tilt goes down, won't go up
I would say switch if you can make it go both up and down from anywhere but not one specific area. As stated by others check all wired first. Loose or damaged wires can cause this problem, if you see nothing more reverse the wires and see if they work in the opposite direction. If so you have a bad ...

Wonder why Shimano stopped making these boxes? They still seem to be a big hit with most anglers, I wish they would bring them back, or if anyone has any of these or the other to they might want to sell hit me up.

I would disconnect one and see if it goes down still. If not you have the right one. Shop around you can still find them under $30.00. Found these one on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tilt-Trim-Relay-Mercury-Outboard-Boat-Motor-882751A1-/361487523140?hash=item542a55dd44:g:gFsAAOSwezVWu0l6&vxp=mt...

Actually it's a relay not a switch, I would replace both and keep the good one as a spare. I had the same problem on the Colorado river a few years back and thank god I had an extra on the boat. about 20 bucks each and about 10 minutes to do both.

they way the dealers bombard you with there ads makes it next to impossible for the regular Joe to post his boat here. I think some of them purposely flood the board to bury others post.

Re: boat dealers
Dealers never post pricing because they are all the same. Just like some rods and reels can't be sold for anymore or less, boats are the same way. And the dealers are not allowed to advertise the price either on most Bass Boats that is.

Always wondered why they stopped making them? They were perfect boxes and didn't have a big hook mess like most boxes today do.

Wondering if Shimano would build a slightly larger reel in the Calais line for swimbaits? The 200 dosent hold very much 25 pound test, nor does the drag have enough pressure on it for the big girls in trees or rocks. I thought about going Braid with Floro leader, but I like using just straight floro...

Depends on everything else as well such as your weight and if you usually fish alone or with someone? But a 26 should be fine for most apps. If you looking for more speed go to a 27 and lighten the load.
