Who should be favored at Clear Lake Open ?

With a boat at stake you gotta like Dobyn''s chances to add yet another boat to his total. But I'm sure anyone can be called a favorite on Clear Lake when the bite is on, but who else is an obvious contender to win? Over 3 days it could take 75 lbs!

It's very likely that the number of participants means the number of people who paid in total over two day, so the sponsor may have lost money and put money into this event. This seems like it's an angler issue. Guys seem to be fishing the really low entry specialty events, big fish derbies, etc where one lucky cast or fish can win. It wasn't that long ago when we had way more than 150 boats and a prize boat given away at every major pro am. But they were also selling a ton of new boats. What's the point ? The cash payback percentage is about like our Pro tournaments in California, but with a higher entry fee. When the organization is able to get a boat and motor sponsor it's always a great payback for the anglers, so that is what I get from it. We don't as many chances to fish for ...

If the DFG would enforce the law and write a couple large dollar tickets the problem would be solved. If they limited each lake to something 30...
