Re: RIP Bob Higgins

This is sad news. All my buddies and myself made many Clear lake trips every year. He would always leave the key for us and let us load up on tackle and never give him a dime until we left. I still have a bait he gave me I've kind of kept for a keep sake..RIP and miss you buddy

The Columbia River is the wind surfing capital for a reason. The only time it doesn't blow is when it is changing directions

Re: Anyone know where I could buy grass carp for a pond?

Grass carp are bad news....I would think of something else if I was you. We have a lake here in Oregon with them. Devils Lake was planted with them years ago and it ruined the lake. There is not a weed to be found and the fishing died to.

They tried to pull it out with a pickup and tore the front grill off.

You could have a slow ratio maybe a 5:1 . I like a 6.2:1 ratio in the Curado and always a left hand retrieve. I think you hit the nail on the head because you don't have to switch hands. I think once you really get used to it you'll like it. If I was you I wouldn't be switching hands to reel. Pick t...

Re: Fishing In Oregon

Those lakes you listed are all really tough right now. You need to drive the 90 miles and go to Tenmile lake. The water temp will be about the same but the fishing has been good. There was a tourney last week and it took 43lbs for two days to win.
