I live on the central coast CA but am willing to travel to make sure I get quality work done. Any recommendations on a shop that can restore the shine for me. Top rail has light oxidation ans the sides have serious hard water spots.
Thanks for any input, Brad

Re: Central Coast Lakes
The central coast lakes are awesome! They all fish very different but they will make you a versatile angler. Marg is a great largemouth lake and now actually has a bunch of spotted bass also, usually big ones. Lopez is also a great lake with northern largemouth and smallies too. When the bite is on ...

I recently lost compression in the #1 cyl. on my '07 hpdi vmax. I'm wanting to gather a few opinions on re-build options as far as cost, powerhead vs cylinder sleeve, and most of all, some names of highly recommended Yamaha mechanics in CA. I'm open and appreciative of any feedback. Thanks, Brad

Awesome. Thanks for the help. I will look into the hotel. I have a camper I was considering taking. Does anyone know of a good campground near this area? I'm actually signed up to be a marshal. I'm super excited! Clearlake will have to wait for now!

easy....it's an addiction to catch giant bass... once you see the caliber of fish that target baits like a slide swimmer or a mother its easy to see how people become addicted. I'm not saying it is normal behavior. I consider myself a freak for buying lures like that but i can't help it. Haha

Re: What is the best rod and reel set up for the 6" Trash Fi
The Dobyns champion 734 is, in my opinion, the best smaller swimbait rod ever made. This rod is a little shorter than a lot of typical swimbiat rods but is awesome because you can make very accurate casts around docks or cover. The 734 also has the best rod tip for swimbaits, the hook up ratio is in...

Re: Looking for more help-Fluke rod
Dobyns Rods are the nicest bass rods on the market. A savvy series 733 would be an awesome fluke rod. This rod is very versatile and can be used for a lot of other techniques. A 734 would also be an excellent choice. I like a rod with a little heavier action. It's all about whatever you prefer. But ...

The best chatterbait rod ever made is the Dobyns champion 734. The hook up ratio is amazing. Ask anyone who owns one and I am sure they will say the same. the 734 is also great for blades, small swimbaits, jerk baits, and many other techniques. I generally use 12 Lb. seaguar invizX fluorocarbon. If ...
