Hey Patriot one, you’re right. Seems our government is more concerned about 3 little fish than the millions of illegals that are swimming across the Rio Grande

Mike’s right! If you want to ruin the lake, post it on social media. In the old days you had to put in the time and work. Now you just open up your iPad, see what they’re using, then go Molly hock the hell out of them. Oh ya, Don’t forget to drag them across the carpet before you throw them back.

Re: Law that few are aware of
What I’ve referred to has nothing to do with what Kwin posted. My conversation with the warden started about a trout that I released but led to a discussion about bass. As I stated before I thought it was pretty crazy but he was quite adamant about the law.

I’m trying to get a clear answer on this. The warden told me, I have found, told a friend of mine the same thing several years ago. I have put an email request into the Director of fish and game and hoping for a response. I hope to get the correct answer. It’s possible the warden gave me false infor...

Re: Law that few are aware of
Hi Dave, hope you’re doing well. I don’t know about club tournaments for I have never been part of one. I just posted this because a state game warden from Calaveras County explained it to me. I told him about a trout I caught that was bleeding. I figured it would die so I threw it in the live well. ...

Well, I’ve broken the law before and I bet most of you have too. Once you put a fish in the livewell, you own it! You are not allowed to release said fish. Only exception is a sanctioned/permit holding bass tournament. My suggestion if you want a photo, take it immediately and release it. I was shoc...

This is something I’ve been bitching about for a while now. There’s too many wanna be pros out there. Catching fish in 30 to 60 feet of water or more and keeping them in their life well for pictures at the end of the day. No reason to do this other than to say look what I got! As for the tournaments...

I see that FPT is scheduled to have a tournament on New Melones 2/13/21. Call me crazy, but I thought they weren’t giving any permits out there this year. Maybe I’m wrong. Anyone know for sure?

You asked for feedback or comments so I would suggest you not bounce these fish onto the carpet. Especially in the summer. People don’t understand the damage they do to the slime coat.

Seriously! Most of these Orgs. have never had a full field in their existence. Seems like every lake, every weekend, has 1 or more tournaments on it. Up north anyway. It would be nice to see fewer numbers of tournaments but with much larger fields. Just my two cents.

With all the extreme pressure on this Lake this year, what do you all think the adverse results will be. I fished this late for many many years and it’s had its ups and downs. The one thing it hasn’t had is this extreme amount of fishing pressure. With the Spawn starting I’m concerned it will get ra...

I don't see where I said anything negative or positive for that matter. But, to be negative I will add that it seems our better fisheries are getting hammered with Tournaments. The summer tournaments in my opinion are very stressful to the fish. Back when I fished tournaments we had fewer derbys but...
