Re: Markley Cove Launching
With the present lake level the lower ramp is the only one open I would think. I haven’t been back there since before the fires. I think Steele resort is the ramp that has a short walk from your vehicle if they’re still allowing g to park on the side of the launch lanes but was $30 to launch last I ...

I called the bureau of reclamation who operates the day use facilities including Capell with no answer and the message has no info for Capell. My vote Caracal. I have one and love it. I have ridden in plenty of 20'ers and say the Caracal rides as good or better. Plus it is easier to move around in tight spaces. best of both worlds. Lots of guys running them on the Delta, I'm in So Cal so can't give a ride, but I bet you could get a test r...

Definitely haven’t heard much from them after Jared Lintner went to Daiwa. If they went out of business their warranties wouldn’t stand. I had a bunch Cousins rods and they closed up the rod division and no warranty honored. If the deal is right and the products is decent I would buy. Good luck with...

DFGW has little to do with this as also the indigenous tribes along the river. The farmers have this one in their pocket and it’s been there for years. This year has brought big concerns to the farmers now because they don’t want any water to go down and out to the ocean. The damn removals won’t hap...

A pair of talons comes with everything you see in the pictures. He takes good care of his stuff so I’d think they’re in pretty fine condition. $2,800
Pick up only in Fairfield, Ca.

Last I heard the lake has plenty of water even though it’s low and all ramps are open. Last time I went up which a month and a half it was ridiculous on how many pleasure crafts and jet skis were on the south end of the main lake. My source said the week days there has been very little action (boats...

Does no one camp anymore? Kelseyville grounds are pretty nice and you have the ramp but might have to go out on the TM. There are outlets to charge in the parking lot if I remember. Facilities were nice the last time I was there 2 years ago. Good area to be also if the winds are crap.

I was up on Saturday and had high hopes of seeing big fish up shallow and that didn’t happen. Water is still a little too cool to get them up there and make them stay shallow. I jumped spots with little luck early day and ended up in an area on the north east side that had diving birds such as grebs...

I wouldn’t put my life on it but it has all the similarities to a green. Not sure if sturgeon are able to cross breed between the two but that fish had green sturgeon features like the greenish stripe down the belly, the scutes being more pronounced for its size was always a give away. Juvenile gree...

Consider a 735 or 736 glass rods. Much more forgiving for the treble baits you’re speaking of especially with braid. You/he won’t be disappointed.
