Re: Cheaters?
One to the reasons I quit participating in tournaments. Where there is money involved....there will be cheaters. This one is too close to home!

McClure Point is getting worse. It's single lane and a huge hole that will drop your trailer 1-2 feet. Going to stop using that ramp and go to Barrett's Cove.

Engine Maintenance Log Form/Book
Has anyone ever designed a maintenance log for their motors? I'm wanting to either purchase or build my own. I've shopped around and found nothing. I want a document/log book of my engines year built, make, model, serial number, maintenance completed, maintenance next due, types of oils, filter part...

Re: Service at C&C Marine Modesto
Greg is one of the best marine mechanics around. Marine mechanics are a rare breed and very very busy. I have been taking my boats for service and repairs at C & C Marine in Modesto for many many years now. I wouldn't let anyone but Greg touch my boat.

I want to install some LED backup lights either on my trailer or truck. Dark boat ramps are a pain sometimes. Which lights do you recommend? Which is better, on the truck or trailer? Thanks in advance.

If you don't like it....don't be negative. The way I see it....more options for us. Many don't care for the circuits that are currently operating, so here's another option.

Just a heads up. The river is closed still and will remain closed until August 1st. Many boats are running up in the river lately because the regulation dropped the restriction, however the Army Corp. of Engineers has their policies and regulations. I called them and personally have spoken with them...

Edd,
It worked!!! Calibrated like a champ! I sure wish Lowrance technicians would have known this. It sure would of saved me a lot of headaches and spending hours on the phone with them. Never once did they ask me where my antenna was mounted. Thanks!

Rod,
Sounds easy enough. Try and find these straps are very difficult. They have a safety strap and hook attached. The only place I found that carries them is directly through Ranger. I ordered one today.

I have a 2012 Ranger trailer with the Fulton XLT winch. I just broke my 2nd strap. All my previous boats, I never broke a winch strap. Is there an use with these particular straps? Wow! I did that little test....the compass went nuts even with power off! Seems the trolling motor, even though there was no power to it, is causing havoc to the magnetic field. I guess I'll be moving the Point 1.
Thanks!

Ya, I've been talking with Lowrance for a few days now. They can't figure it out. They told if nothing else to send in my antenna. Every thing is working expect the direction my boat goes along the water on the map. I go North and my boat is pointed East. Plus it still won't calibrate.
