Re: swimbaits in a pontoon boat
Yes and yes. It's not really any harder than tossing them from a boat just different mechanics. Your casting distance will likely be less since you are closer to the water, and you will need to make some minor adjustments but they work just as well from a kickboat as anywhere else. If you want to ge...

Re: Your first time! ******* Come on fishing a certain bait!
Buzzbait! I found a buzzbait on the bank as I was walking the shore at Calero res in San Jose. Tied it on and made a few casts. The bait was in the water when I saw a fish roll to my left. I started winding as fast as I could to fire a cast at that fish when a 7lber smashed it. First ever buzzbait f...

Re: Bay Area Tubing Suggestions
check out http://www.bass-n-tubes.com Float tube/kickboat club that has most of their members based in Santa Clara County. They do monthly tournaments from Feb-Oct, but don't do tournaments in Santa Clara county due to the miles of red tape involved there. For lakes to tube in the south bay, heading...

Re: Contra Loma
Thanks FROG but not really the information I was asking about.
BTW the people that manage this place (EBRPD) also manage Del Valle.
These are the kinds of replies that usually keep me from posting on this board. Thanks for reminding me bout that!

Re: Float tube / pontoon advice
I'm 245 on a good day. I would guess that I carry about 25 to 30 more pounds of gear, rods/reels tackle lunch and drinks, I also have a 12 gallon Livewell that when full adds another 85 pounds or so. I can kick around the delta all day without any problems at all. I do believe most manufacturers und...

Re: DO YOU KICK BOATERS NOTIFY THE BOATER ORGS
Hi Jim I can't speak for other kickboat clubs but Bass-n-Tubes absolutley does contact other orgs that are fishing the same water we are. We try to make a point not to fish where other large tourneys may be fishing and we will contact orgs prior to making our schedule so we don't make that mistake. MT

..I used chumming as an example of a fish activator. I agree that BSX could be a useful tool. I also think that in certian situations BSX will work to stimulate fish into an active feeding mode. The field test results data on their website supports this. The main difference I see between BSX and any...

Re: WON BASS Ruling on Sonic Fish Attractors
If it's supposed to activate them then what makes it any different than chumming? You are just appealing to a different sense, hearing rather than smell. If it had hooks attached to it and it was on the end of your line then you could compare it to a vibration bait. Personally I don't think it shoul...
