Re: Input On Rain Gear

Would like and appreciate some input guys. My 15 yr old Cabella's Guideware quit repelling water last yr and it's time to upgrade. With the price of rain gear being through the roof these days what are people's opinions on what's the best or near the best to buy? I get hot easy and want something t...

Folsom Lake

With all the rain you would think all the lakes are full. Wrong. Folsom Lake goes on a 5mph after only 2 more feet down.

Re: Squaw fish; Do bass eat them? anyone know the facts on that fish

Hey guy's, they are a very aggressive eater for sure, and I can only guess bass eat the young. I've caught them on blades and spoons with my largest at Oroville being close to 8lbs on main lake points. Folsom with spoons can be insane on every drop if they are feeding. Sometimes way up the north for...

It can be hard to get the fish out of a lot of thick, but I still prefer to get the bite first. That's the fun part.

[quote="Whoopbass"]Danny.....I bought a couple weights off your site. I watched the video Ca. delta down under. Do you have a diagram on how to rig your weight drop shot style? It's not a style that I do very often. Some use a small split ring and some cut a hook eye from a cheap hook to u...

You know what I'm gonna say and use. A Miller Punchin Weight. If you learn how, it just works better. As with any punchin weight there is a learning period of all items involved in it's use. Line, stops, weight, hook, bait, scent, rod, reel, knot. I spoke with a lot of guy's about baits and weights and gett...

Full reservoirs in California

Incredible amounts of rain have fallen in the past months in California. It is really a wonderful thing that's happened. Right now 4 dams in California are completely full. Over 200 are 1/3 to 1/2 full. Shasta is over 10% full. It is estimated that Folsom Lake is over 20% full. I can see your confus...

Re: A-Rig Rod?

A rigs, love em or hate em I've had an A rig and a spoon on my boat deck from October to late spring for the past 5 years. I use a 7'11 MH rod with a long butt end and I huck it all day. Line and size really depends on the baits, weights etc but as a starter for upland reservoirs I'd recommend 12Lb ...

Does any domestic livestock, like cattle, eat hyacinth? Some countries mix it in as cattle feed but it has very little value as food for it. Hippos on the other hand love it. Info is out there about the "Hippo Bill" that after this plant was brought to this country as a gift in small pots...

All I can say Is I really liked the g-force until yesterday when I was on the delta in 30+ mph winds and went to pull up the trolling motor to have the handle snap off in my hand. That wasn't fun trying to get the motor up while getting blown out. Sorry to hear that Curtis. Those types of mishaps h...

That's how customer service should be Martin. I get a lot of feed back and sometimes the question does come up about why I don't make a cheap version. It does arouse my curiosity. Brian D got it right with that reply. I've had a lot of time spent running nasty water and the RMC lock down is a rock solid investment. I love my new steering clips that Mike makes. I put a rope tying the two together to help keep my hands from touching any oil on them. Less than a $20.00 bill and really stay on, not like those hard plastic ones. These really work!
