Try Beacon Marine and Electronics in Oxnard. They did a good job with my boat electrical problems. With that said If anyone knows of a good Mercury mechanic I would like to have my 225

I would like to re-carpet my 2003 521vx (limited edition) Ranger bass boat. I’ve searched everywhere but I’m not able to locate a (DIY) carpet kit. So, it looks like I’ll need to take it to a professional. I’m in Ventura, Ca. Any suggestions as to where I should take it? Willing to travel. Thank you...

It’s not looking like we’re going to get the amount of rain that was predicted. I hope I’m wrong. The real question is, has anyone caught a fish from Casitas lately? It’s been awhile since I’ve been on the water and I’m starting to get the itch…

Kelly Please consider sending your Jan 9th post to the VC Star, letters to the editor. I wonder if the tax paying citizens in Ventura County are aware of the way Lake Casitas is operated. As a resident of Ventura, I see water costs continuing to rise along with increased water restrictions. Change i...

Even though it was a frustrating day on the water it’s always a great learning experience when fishing Casitas with RIP. I have allot to learn about that lake. I agree, if anything the reports get me excited about going fishing.
Kelly, I’m scheduled for a boat inspection Monday morning at Lake Casitas. I’ve been cleaning my boat for a week! Hopefully my labor will pay off.
Looking forward to getting back on the water so I can attempt to write a report.

It’s been awhile since I fished Castaic & Pyramid as I work required me to move north to the Sacramento area about 5 years ago. I remember the quagga inspection to be much more through than up here. Once the inspector found a wet rope in my storage hatch (I washed the boat the day before) he wou...

I’ve never launched from steel canyon, the area looks good from the water. I would always drive further on up to Capell. It was free awhile ago, even today I believe it’s cheaper than the rest.
