I’ve been running the Ultrex for 3 yrs.. The only issue I had was after 2yrs of fishin grassy stuff on the delta I snapped a cable. Re: Bassmaster Elite St. Johns River Day FINAL Results | Another win for a bass LEGEND!
The level of competition is pretty darn equal across the board, no matter what tour you're fishing at the level. When you drop 98+ lbs on the scales, you've not only put a whooping on the bass, but more than likely you're gonna beat anyone at that level of anglers. Congrats on the back to back W's o...

Expect to find muddy to stained water around the creeks with the recent storms, water temps will probably drop a bit with the really cold system moving through. Watch out for floating debris wherever you go though!

Berryessa - Has all 3 bass species with great size. In March you can find some fish on beds and the majority in pre spawn. A lot of big fish are caught in March there. Clear Lake - Most fish will be pre spawn staging outside of spawning areas. Reaction baits, swimbaits, jigs and worms will get you b...

One thing I have noticed about the fish that i've caught at Oroville recently, is they're a lot skinnier compared to the bass (Spotted & Largemouth) that are coming out of lakes such as Berryessa and Shasta. Which both lakes currently have a good population of shad. The pond smelt seem to lack t...

I would start shallow covering water first thing around flats and pockets with cover throwing reaction baits; blades, cranks, 6" swimbaits, chatterbait and a topwater bait. You can just about pull a fish off every willow, laydown or flooded bush pitching your favorite plastic, shakey head or dr...

Big tournaments at the Delta and Clear Lake all weekend. I would go to Berryessa, the lake is fishing awesome right now with the flooded willows, bushes and grass. Shad are up and the fish are chewing!

You shouldn't have a problem getting bit even if the weather is rainy and cooler. Lipless cranks, chatterbait, 6" swimbaits, jerkbaits, senkos, A rig, crankbait and drop shot will all get bit pretty well right now.
