I HAVE A 200 EVINRUDE FICTH AND THAT HAPPEN TO ME WHEN I HAD TULLEY RAPPED AROUND MY LOWER UNIT WATER PICK UP VENT, SO MAKE SURE HAVE NOTHING BLOCKING THE VENT AND MAKE SURE IT IS NOT OVERHEATUING OS YOU MAY JUST A NEW WATER PUMP CAUSE AT IDLE IT WILL RUN OK WITH JUST ALITTLE WATER BUT AT HIGH SPEED...
