Re: Renaming the endangered "Delta Smelt" to the "Jerry Brown Smelt "

Why would you want to re-name something as honorable as the Delta Smelt and call it a Jerry Brown Smelt? I'd rather call a big pile of raccoon $hit on a delta levee a Jerry Brown Turd - its more fitting.

Re: wacky style hook sizes

Owner Wacky Hook 2/0 Weedless Camo Green - its perfect for that size Senko. And the weedless feature works pretty good. If you dont like the weedless feature go with the Owner Wacky 2/0 Camo Green then. Tie it on with a Palomar Knot.

I grew up fishing Otay walking the bank with a dozen night crawlers in the late-60s early-70s. Glad to see it’s still producing good bass.

Funny story ... many years ago when I was a newbe to the Delta my son and I were heading out across Franks Tract early one morning to fish. He was about 12. I let him drive the boat (my old alum Lund with a small motor) and I was tying hooks and setting up the gear. He said to me "hey Dad it lo...

Thanks for the info. I bought the Navionics SD Card that I plug into my Lowrance unit. I have the Navionics app downloaded to my iPad and iPhone too, but it asks me to procure the service for $50. I thought when I bought the service for the SD Card the app service came free. Did I misunderstand?

I’ve got a 200HP Evinrude and had similar problems. For me the trim would stop working and if I turned the engine off it wouldn’t restart. The 10 amp inline fuse kept blowing. If I replaced the fuse I could restart but it would blow again and the tilt wouldn’t operate. Mine was traced to 2 problems ...

Tom - count me in again this year. Last year was a great event. It was fantastic to be able to get out on the water with the Vets. Is this going to be a fly fishing venue again this year? If so, that's great. Any chance there would be a conventional gear venue too? Either way ... I'm definitely in !!!

Re: Who uses Lithium Pro batteries?

If you switch get the largest capacity (amp-hr or Ah) rating you can, such as 100Ah or more. Ah equates to how much trolling time you have on the water - the more the better. Also I think you need a new battery charger designed specifically for a Lithium battery. These batteries cannot be overcharge...
