Re: Need help w Spinnerbait & chatterbait rod action & power?

I like the mod fast for the chatterbait because I like how it loads up.

I throw my spinnerbaits on a 7' 3 power ex fast on braid. I like the tip action for casts and the power to pull fish out.

Stan is a good dude. I called to get a quote and we ended up talking for an hour. Very knowledgeable, straight forward and coverages designed for us. He'll have my business for years to come.

That said I have heard the same about Ben Green.

I've used a Powell Max 3D 725 and 755 for a few years and for square bills and for traps I use the 725. It throws them accurately and is soft enough to not throw or pull the trebles. The 755 is pretty stiff, I use it for chatterbaits, its an awesome rod for that but too stiff for shallow cranking in...

I'm in the process of finding a boat and I have one that I am interested in but before I pull the trigger on it or any boat for that matter I want a full inspection done on the boat/motor and trailer.

Does anyone have a shop that they can recommend in the lodi / sac area?

It all depends on the time of year and water color.

Fall I throw a shad color, spring is bluegill / crappie and summer a gold shiner color.

Trailers vary depending upon the water color and size.

Cool alternative to a traditional buzz. That said the wire holding the props is light so when a big fish eats it or takes it into the weeds those wires bend like noodles and take a lot of tuning to get right again. River2sea, stiffer wire on the props.... otherwise its pretty cool. A lot more subtle...
